Keren-Happuch’s education is, not without hitches, a carefully shaped trajectory to prepare her for a career in medicine. She attended Achimota School, an A class secondary boarding school in Ghana, where she took elective science and math courses. Alongside this, she has studied multiple languages; including French, Portuguese, and Spanish, giving her the ability to communicate with diverse patient populations. Additionally, she pursued music, including piano and now the study of how music affects the human body.

Her early exposure to medicine began in childhood, spending time at the hospital where her mother works as a biomedical laboratory technologist. Being at her mother’s workplace and observing both doctors and lab professionals sparked her curiosity and commitment to healthcare. Over the years, Keren-Happuch has deepened this commitment by earning certifications as a phlebotomist and medical assistant, volunteering at clinics, shadowing surgeries both in person and virtually, among other forms of formal & informal pre-medical education. These experiences gave her practical skills and insight into both clinical care and medical research. Keren-Happuch loves research, and that is fueled by real-world encounters and media that inspire questions she eagerly pursues. 

Beyond academics and clinical exposure, she has demonstrated leadership through mentoring peers, tutoring, active participation in pre-medical organizations, and a nonprofit project close to her heart. Her journey has included unexpected challenges, but each has strengthened her resilience, compassion, and dedication. making Keren-Happuch a distinctive candidate poised to contribute meaningfully to medical school and the future of pediatric neurosurgery.
